During several months, I was allowed to enter The Louvre Museum on tuesdays, days of closing. I felt "backstage" of an organized universe and I discovered a very different world. The purpose of those cleaners in green is to erase the public traces, in an extremely caring way. Their work is done with goodness, concentration and silence : not focused on the beauty of the pieces of art, but on their preservation. It is tim for rest. Resting from being observed, admired or criticized. Time for peace, as if the whole museum was having a quiet bath. An intimate and private time.
