Ruins of the School of Ballet at the National Art Schools campus in Havana, Cuba. In 1961 three young architects were commissioned by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara to create Cuba's National Art Schools on the grounds of the former Havana Country Club golf course. The School of Ballet, which was designed by Italian architect Vittorio Garatti, was never fully completed. The National Art Schools may be the most famous architectural legacy of the Cuban Revolution. I was lucky to visit the site in the Spring of 2014 and photograph the beautiful School of Ballet.
