The world of image is about lines and light. Lines mean composition, light means filling the composition with surface. The surface gives us the volumes, which in turn give us the building as we see it and the image that makes the photograph. What I intend with this series is to show the beauty an architectural object can offer to the viewer when focusing on its structure as mean of conveying one's vision about the world. The structures I present and that can be found in Athens, Patras and Rotterdam, are meant to show the joy we can feel when observing the lines that create our world, and I try to recreate this feeling by using architectural symbols. What I aim to convey is the sensation of exuberance that one can feel when looking at structures composed by lines when they are seen in a certain way, from a certain angle, different from the one we would normally see them, and to also explore how this structures come to life in contact with light, when light is distributed in such a way so to emphasize their force and uniqueness.
