Tim Gerard Barker graduated from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology's Bachelor of Arts (Photography) program in 2005. Tim has won a number of awards for his work including: • Sydney Life - The City of Sydney Photography Prize (Winner 2005) • Australia's Top Photographers - Emerging Travel (Runner Up 2010) • Travel Photographer of the Year One Shot Category (Runner Up 2010) Tim's stills and video have been used by commercial, NGO and editorial clients all over the world including Warner Brothers Pictures, Jet Tours, Unilever, Lonely Planet, National Geographic Traveler, The Guardian, The Global Mail, Asian Geographic, BBC, CNN, PATH, Responsible Asia Forestry and Trade and many more. Marrying his passion for travel and photography Tim set up base in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2012. Tim is a contributor to the Lonely Planet Images collection at Getty Images and he shoots as a stringer for Getty Images News. For commercial work he is on the roster at Wonderful Machine and he is also represented by Getty Images Global Assignment.
