The 2013 Maha Kumbh Mela took place in Allahabad, India, and was the single largest gathering and pilgrimage of all times, with 100 million pilgrims gathering at the confluence of the Yamuna and Ganges rivers (the Sangam) during one month to bathe and purify in order to gain a better karma.This series of Portraits was aimed at capturing the range of social origins and characters of the pilgrims present on the pilgrimmage.
