This series of photos were taken at various memorial services in the week of Nelson Mandela's passing in December 2013.I focussed on children because they were one of his great loves. I believe that his love transcended all barriers of gender, race and cultures. My two favourites of this series are the ones of the little girl clinging to the leg of the famous Mandela statue at Sandton Square and the little girl in the red dress reaching to touch his hands while her dad looks on.
