I’ve been a veteran walker/NYC street photographer since 1982, drawn by vibrant cultures, street drama-quiet or flamboyant-and the unexpected. Walking Tenth Avenue after midnight, I heard arguing on nearby 24th street, alongside a gigantic Car Wash sign. I shot unobtrusively while a man and spurned woman parted ways, leaving the bleak historic cityscape eerily empty. I choose sequential photo narratives to share slices of life and social and other issues. All human stories interest me. I am English, Slovak, French, and as a kid loved photographing family gatherings. Other themes: ancestry, the arts, places of power, popular culture & social issues, spirituality, women.
