Shot at 'The Church of the Holy Sepulchre' in Miechow, Poland during the last days of 'passion week'. The church contains the oldest replica of the Holy Sepulchre in Europe. Ever since a fire devastated the ancient church in the 18th century, volunteers from the local fire service began a tradition of standing guard 24/7 during the last days of Easter whilst pilgrims flock from all over Poland to visit the grave. I stood and watched them change shifts over the course of an hour, and took this photo of a young volunteer just before I left.
