After spending all day photographing inside Namib-Naukluft National Park around Dead Vlei, I made slowly my way back in the evening to my accommodation. I saw a group of tourists walking towards the dune #45 and a few Oryx close by watching them. I stopped to take some images of the Oryx with the red sand dune in the back. But the tourists disturbed this little assignment, since they gave me much nicer opportunities for images while they were climbing (Sand Shoeing) the dune. The dunes shine in such red colour, because of their high percentage of iron. The sand dunes in Namibia are amongst the highest sand dunes on the globe. Many 200 meters height and more. The highest sand dune is around 380 meters high.
