AMANDA RENSHAW - PHAIDON
Amanda Renshaw is Editorial Director at Phaidon Press. Since 1993 she has commissioned many important titles in the field of photography and has worked closely with a wide range of photographers including Roger Ballen, David Doubilet, Danny Lyon, Steve McCurry, James Nachtwey, Martin Parr, Stephen Shore, Mary Ellen Mark, Joel Meyerowitz, Platon and Eugene Richards. In addition to working on publications such as American Surfaces, Inferno, South SouthEast, The Photobook: A History and Joel Meyerowitz's retrospective Taking My Time, Amanda has played an integral role in a number of Phaidon generated and complied titles including bestsellers such as The Photography Book, Century, Heaven & Earth and The Art Museum.
Prior to her time at Phaidon, Amanda was a specialist in the Impressionist and Modern Department at Christie’s in both London and Paris. She started her career in the Education Department at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C. Amanda is the author of The Art Book for Children.
