Steven brown

Steven Brown is a photography critic and poet who writes regularly for 21st Editions and Eyemazing Editions. He is also a writer and coeditor for Edition Galerie Vevais in Germany. Recent works include Eyemazing: The New Collectible Photography (Thames & Hudson, 2013), Beth Moon’s Ancient Trees: Portraits of Time (Abbeville Press, 2014), Dino Valls: Ex Picturis II (EGV, 2014), and a new monograph by Robert Stivers (Twin Palms Publishers, 2015). He collaborated with photographer Jerry Uelsmann on a limited edition monograph titled, Moth and Bonelight (21st Editions, 2010) and one with photographer Ben Nixon, To the Wheatlight of June (21st Editions, 2013). Brown currently lives in Cambridge, MA, where he is finishing a PhD at Harvard on the environmental aesthetics of waste in American literature and history.
