Kon Gouriotis OAM is the new Director of the Australian Centre for Photography. Kon has more than 20 years of professional sector experience in contemporary visual arts and culture. His achievements include national touring exhibitions, the capital redevelopment and rebranding of the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre and excellence in community engagement.
He was recently Director, Visual Arts, Australia Council for the Arts (2008–11) where he made a significant contribution to the development of the Australian visual arts.
In 2005, Kon was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for his service to the community. Kon regularly speaks at public and industry events and contributes to various publications.
