In these works I explore the hyper-conscience mind and it's affects on awareness. The time between full sleep and full awake we enter a state of what I would describe as a hyper-conscience mind, irrational and contradictory. Small variables and actions can trigger this state; crying in your bed with your face towards the ceiling. I recreate the experience of those 'midnight tears' through the banality of minimal interior structures in the first person, then becoming a portrait of the first person perspective. They stand alone as minimal composition though very familiar to the common eye.
