A frontier of 3,200 kilometers separates the United States from Mexico. On one side and on the other: land, cities, men. Two neighbours, two people with an intertwined history. Between the two, a wall, progressively erected since 1989. In 2009, over one third of the border fences that have been erected more or less act as a deterrent. Barbed wire, cameras, masonry walls, fences, waves of metal curtains ... disparate forms converging together towards the same goal: curbing illegal activities at the border, and consequently limiting illegal immigration. On the ground, on the frontier between the United States and Mexico, the reality is that men and women fight for or against the wall.
