This series is part of the project titled "Abstract Lights" initiated during my time at the Architectural Association (London). The project consists of photographing familiar objects part of our daily lives in such a way that they become unrecognisable. Photographs aim to open our minds to see the world that surround us from different perspectives, finding beauty on each single detail. Surprise and disorientation are part of the photographic experience, unveiling a new source of hidden beauty that escaped to our minds so many times before. As vulgar as a traffic light and yet capable of provoking unanticipated and contradictory reactions.
