This single exposure on 4x5 FILM depicts an infinite field of abstraction in a departure from long exposures, instead using impossibly difficult contrast to create surreal texture. A self portrait realized in the natural landscape, the piece is both chaotic and tranquil, busy and minimal, abstract and concrete. The details are static; however in the context of the entire image, what seems like nonsense when viewed at close range crafts a beautiful narrative of reflected light on an infinite graphic field.
