I was caring for my dying grandmother while pregnant with my daughter. It was surreal to be close to opposite ends of life. My daughter(pictured) was born 2 weeks after my grandmother died. The similarities between caring for an 89 year old and a newborn were so similar. Both needed constant care- clothed, feed, talked to, and loved. I'm beginning to understand the unity between young and old souls.
