My goal with this project was to create a unique children's picture book using photographic images rather than standard illustrations. I wanted to tell a story relatable to young children and parents alike, but tell the story with images of a real girl to increase the attachment young readers would have with the main character. And it worked--hand this book to any kid under the age of 6 and watch their face light up in fascination. We shot over 4000 RAW images, narrowed those down to the 160 files used to create (after over 1000 hours editing) the 40 composite images in the book.
