These are aerial views of the Antarctic Peninsula; it is undergoing a great deal of change as it's glaciers thin and break off into the ocean every summer. Global warming has tripled the annual rate of ice loss across the West Antarctic Ice Sheet - including the Antarctic Peninsula - and now loses 159 billion tons of ice per year. The impacts from these changes will be felt across a centuries-long timeline by our future generations.
