These color abstractions are inspired by color field and lyrical abstraction art. Wolfgang Tillmans and Walead Beshty produce photographic abstractions by working with photo paper, light and digital printing. Others use simple blurring and natural patters to produce abstractions. My images are made by selecting sections of actual photo images and abstracting them for color values and visual impact. Digital printing beautifully captures the nuances of coloring.
