I photographed this series over the space of 4 days on the Salt River, in Arizona USA. I purposely wanted abstract, ghostly images capturing the essence of the mustangs. Every evening I watched and waited on the banks of the river to see what the light might bring. I purposely shot with slow shutter speeds to capture the motion blur of the horses. With Ghost Stallion and Blue Ghost I panned while having the camera on the tripod. With Shadow Horses I kept the camera stationary as I took the exposure.
