San Gimignano is a little world heritage town in the provence of Sienna, Tuscany, north-central Italy. It is famous for its medieval architecture and towers, which can be seen from far away. These images were inspired by the extraordinary people of this town, who have managed to keep up with a modern lifestyle and yet find the balance and harmony to adapt in this historic and vibrant terra cotta landscape. Capturing glimpses of everyday living is like a treasure hunt over the rooftops. Shooting from an aerial perspective the buildings twisted into a constructed labyrinth. My lens became the discovery tool which allow me to find wonderful moments like the man reading his newspaper relaxed in his deck chair on top of the tall monolith like tower, or the colorful laundry tucked across the corner hanging from a tiny balcony and a scatter of satellites or TV aerials which blended gently into the town's preserved history.
