This story is about Valentina Sergeevna Yermakova. Her father was the world-famous academician Pavlov. Her life has been rather hard but interesting. Now she lives in the country near Saint-Petersburg. Her place is a six-are garden with a house which she shared with twenty-four dogs and four cats. Although some people call this place Noah's Ark it is hardly can be considered as an ordinary shelter for stray pets because of the miserable conditions. Many pets were thrown away or tortured almost to death by people. Now , saved and nursed by Valentina Sergeevna, they enjoy life and freedom at “The Ark”.
