The Netherlands has a culinary top of 90 chefs. I photographed them all and asked them to donate a handwritten recipe of one of their signature dishes. They had to write down the recipe and sketch the way they want the food to be on the plate. The way I put the handwritten recipe, the ingredient and the chef together in a book gives a unique image of time of the culinary world in the Netherlands.

The special thing about this project is the fact that they all joined the project. Also they decided themselves on what ingredient they would use for the photo and how to get it into the frame, without using their hands.
The idea behind this project was to portrait all the chefs in a way that shows the thin line between who they are and what they do.
