My client, a Lebanese-based regional bank opted for the theme “Bridging for Excellence” for their Annual Report 2006. My pictures’ compositions were consequently built to convey the concept through a simple, fresh, yet extremely powerful presentation, using young gymnasts and dancers, building bridges with their bodies.
The story began many years ago when Fares Jammal child, used to assist his father in his photography studio in Batroun - Lebanon, an experience that led him to nurture his passion into a profession. With studios and offices today split between Dubai and Beirut, renowned Lebanese photographer Fares Jammal graduated in Photography from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanon in 1992, where he taught Landscaping from 1993 to 1999. The world is Jammal’s canvas. His curiosity and tenacity have taken him to the four corners of the globe, working heavily on landscapes and architecture while also indulging in portraits, advertising, fashion shoots and reportage pictures. As he puts it: “A painter paints with colors and brushes, while a photographer paints with light.”
