Dr Shresth Tayal, Glaciologist at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) sets part of his measuring equipment up at the fast reducing Rathong Glacier (at bottom left of frame) below the 6678 meter Rathong Peak in the North East Indian state of Sikkim close to the Nepalese border. Considered to be a themometre of the environment, it has been chosen by TERI to be a test case of environmental damage being done in India and China.
