For all their familiarity, waves are a mysterious force I do not understand. Waves intrigue me because they embody the idea of infinite variation. Fraught with dualities, at once they embody birth and destruction, light and darkness, form and fluid movement. I look at waves intensely and record what fascinates me: the abstract forms they take on as they reflect, absorb and emanate light. These images are photographic representations of waves, but they are equally records of moods and emotions.
