The desert. 10,000 refugees. One little girl. Inquisitive yet shy, smiling, she hides behind laundry detergent she is obediently taking to her mother, her home the likes of the make-do tents behind her. The contrast is too great, too obvious - starch white, chemically-scented anticaking agents, phosphors and surfactants penetrate the pores of the dusty earth, the organic surrounding of the barren desert she is forced to inhabit. There is yet to be a fabric softener to ease the pains of the life she lives...
