I use digital noise and camera movement to introduce purposeful chance, creating visual textures that interrupt the command of the analytic mind. These digital photographs metaphorically represent the way we perceive reality by processing binary visual information from the optic nerve and attaching meaningful interpretation in the mind. This work, then, is a reflection on what we look for to define what is real. By replacing visual detail with visual noise I seek an expression of the creative mind's connection to the absolute.
