Since thre late 1960's, Telegraph Ave - a four block commercial strip on the south side of the University of California in Berkeley, CA - has been a magnet for street kids, travelers, squatters, and gutter punks like Coconut. Arriving for several days, weeks, or sometimes years, they come for a variety of reasons and all share a deep desire to be disengaged from societal and/or adolescent expectations.
