Mexico has been hit by a growing wave of violence in the last five-six years, that has left more than 30.000 victims among drug dealers, policemen and civilians. This conflict between Narcocartels and the Federal State has also influenced the everyday life of the population and their practices in domains such as religión, music, literature, and art; developing a particular form of aesthetic that could be called Narcocultura. This is how some productions of the film industry made in Mexico’s Northern Border have made a profit on movies that address different topics related to the drug trafficking. This movies are usually inspired by the real stories told in Narcocorridos (a Drug Ballad- is a type of Mexican music and song tradition which evolved out of the norteño folk corrido tradition)
