The fallen trees on the rainforest floor nurture the soil for new trees to grow. I knew I had to incorporate the new with the old in this shot. For me it was almost like the new tree was extending its branches down to the old tree on the floor to thank and comfort it for supplying it with nutrients to grow. These trees are alive and when you walk through the forest you feel it. It just makes you want to breathe.
