These photos, part of my "Bus Stories" series, were taken on London buses and depict the monitors, installed inside the buses, that broadcast live what the CCTV cameras capture. I have chosen to candidly photograph the bus commuters, including myself, using the same cameras that are there to protect/control us. This has created a circle between myself, the cameras and the people I photograph, that, mostly unaware of my presence but most probably conscious of being captured by the CCTV, show no sign of modifying their behaviour in public. As a result my presence as a photographer is almost totally ignored by many, even if during this process I, myself, am constantly monitored by the CCTV. Call me a spy, a voyeur, or a freak, I still consider myself only a photographer, photographing ordinary life in London.
