The BRC Playa Portraits has been an ongoing Fine-Art journalistic endeavor. The 4x5 Type-55 Polaroid photographic portraits are isolated documentaries of the artistry of Burning Man’s participants. It is the unique creativity expressed in every individual that makes this portrait study pertinent to the social demographic of Black Rock City and the curious population who might consider a burn. The project also has an informative premise – to dispel the negative misconceptions of the general public who mistake the ideals of BRC for something much less that whit it fundamentally is. This project’s goal is to relay to the world the stunning artistry and awe inspiring community that I fondly have grown to call home.
