Since the 1970s I’ve explored self-portraiture as a way to process and often clarify my evolving self and sense of identity. I work experimentally technically, often combining negatives and a variety of processes. This photograph owes a debt to the expressive world of fables and mythology, where human, animals, and nature easily transform, one to the other.
