It wasn't just showing myself- it was knowing and self-discovery - an interaction between me and myself. Self-portraiture guided me and functioned as a conduit for tearing myself apart. The mind's logic is self-perpetuating, making it difficult to find answers that are different from ones we already know. Focusing intensely on these images was an outlet to transcend and look for something internal.
