Since 2007, I've been constructing a large-format (8x10-inch) sequential photo series revolving around the life of 84-year-old widow, Millie Holden. Based on Millie’s own experiences of an event centered elsewhere, “You and Me On A Sunny Day” is an ambitiously-constructed story about the malleability of memory and the impact that fictional media has on her way of life. Technically, each image in this ongoing series is a large-format (8x10-inch) photomontage. Using a specific combination of Fujichrome transparencies and Fujicolor negatives, these full-focus images are comprised of up to 22 sheets of film.
