A child asks the question “Who Am I?” at a surprisingly young age. Dress-Up draws upon our imagination, altering our view of ourselves and others’ perceptions of us. By choice or custom, we are transported from the ordinary into the extraordinary; a world filled with possibilities. A natural tension between one’s private and public self finds peaceful coexistence in the ambiguous space between reality and fantasy. I search for the moment when harmony between the self and the world, real or imagined, feels within reach.
