These images were taken in Osaka in summer of 2011 at a nursing home where elders having cognitive impairment are being treated with so called “doll therapy.” Reserchers proposed this treatment that letting patients take care of baby dolls may have potential to enrich expression of their feelings and reduce insomnia or wandering around. This treatment is still under investigation, but for those elders the dolls seem to metamorphosis into their someone “beloved.” I am more than happy if my work helps you to take little time to see something important between you and someone you love.
