Rain. It’s been incessant, unforgiving and scattered with heavy wind gusts for the past nine months. I do not relinquish a longing to get outdoors to feel a warm ray of sun, wander the woods, seaside and sleepy streets. Embracing the rain fuels a new visual pursuit. A drenched hillside, stormy pines, deserted beaches, another lonely cypress and empty room and board fulfill a void yet remain a void. I have not felt the warm sun or seen cerulean skies. Yet I bask in new landscapes through a saturated porthole. Still waiting…for spring.
