Downfall, a criticism of people and different stages of their mood, is my newest photograph project where I looked into topics such as depression, loneliness, morals, death and isolation. There are certain reasons why I wanted to do a project based on these topics. The most important reason is understandably me being in such state of mind in last couple of years. Whole process thought me how to analyze things happening to me and around me and finally enabled me to see it through. I realized everybody is unhappy. According to my research I found out there's a serious increase in number of depression patients this century. The common attributes of these people are fatigue, alcohol abuse, tendency to violence and inefficiency. So I wanted to express my feeling and my thoughts through my imagination of what I've lived, read, seen and heard. I could describe this project as an arduous and challenging process that required a lot of patience. I formed every piece one by one through a process of planning, drawing and writing it down. When deciding where to shoot I paid attention to pick places that sparked timelessness and not belonging. I thought of models as inanimate and incorporated them into pictures that way. All of my photos are based on fiction however I strived to make them feel real like. In other words, I made my works of fiction and imagination a part of reality through my photos. Hence my desire to have photos made of Life became reality. With this in mind, I wanted to give a degree of freedom to viewers to come with their own stories. I shot my photos using a medium format camera and colour negative film.
