While spending some time in Central Australia I focused on shooting the big tourist attractions of Uluru (Ayer's Rock) and Kata Tjuta (The Olga's). This particular evening I could see that there was going to be some very special light. The problem was, it wasn't going to happen over Uluru or Kata Tjuta. So I ditched those locations altogether and started driving around until I found a random desert oak tree that was located perfectly to capture the sunset. I found this tree with only minutes to spare and hastily setup my gear. Sure enough, the light that followed was truly remarkable.
