The world changes at high speed. We are no longer in the habit of living with and amongst nature. Nature has become a museum piece, animals are being put in a framework, protected by their cages and the law and being exhibited. In her images Patricia van de Camp shows the lost intimacy between humanity and nature. She shows the longing to deal with nature in a playful and intimate way, without being exposed to the ever lurking dangers of becoming vulnerable and defenceless.
