Like the skeletons of war horses scattered in the prairies I found these leftovers of bycicles in various german cities. Abandoned by their riders it´s just a matter of time that saddles, wheels, handlebars will vanish like the flesh of dead horses guzzled by vultures. Everyday articles left to decay transformed into mere aesthetical objects. A modern interpretation of the classical vanitas theme found in “natura morta” paintings.
