The images are part of the work "The Destiny of a Heart". Inspired by Brazilian literature and the Latin-American telenovela, the work is a performance: a story based on actual events of my own family and depicts a series of “right-angles” in life, those decisions and choices that can alter the course of one’s future. In my family’s case, destiny produced a chain of events that resulted in a series of coincidences and surprises that continued until the “big heart” stopped serving its vital role. What remains are memories of a happier life and still another right-angle—a brand new start! I perform my deceased father.
