Birds was commissioned by Children's Memorial Hospital to grace the lobby of the Cystic Fibrosis floor. The concept behind the image is a tree made in the shape of a lung with 214 individually photographed mourning doves shot on green screen and placed individually. There is no redundant / duplicate bird; all 214 are unique. Children gather at the base and return the birds to the tree of breath.
