Story

One of the biggest issues facing the world today is a growing population with a very finite amount resources to support it and space to live and work in. While there are many locations around the globe which have abundant resources and space with small populations, that will not last forever. It only takes a short glimpse at cities in Asia, particularly Hong Kong, to see what the future of the world holds with regards to the infrastructure needed to support it the billions of extra people who will be born in the next few decades. One of the most dense cities in the world, Hong Kong has almost 8 million residents in 1104 sq. km and only 30% of that land is suitable for building on while the rest of mountainous. To put that into perspective, the entire area of Hong Kong is 1/3 of the area of Rhode Island. A combination of unique landscapes, strong migration trends into the city state, strong financial power and no aversion to building upwards instead of expanding outward as many Western nations have done has led to the ability to support a massive population without compromising living standards.
