These images explore the mental process of transition and our conflicted relationship to a world that is becoming increasingly fast-paced and dematerialized. They are constructed from photographs taken in various locations over the course of several months, then layered and blended until the real and the fabricated become a seamless composition. Lauren Marsolier is a French artist who lives and works in Los Angeles. She is one of The British Journal of Photography 20 photographers to watch in 2013 and her work was part of 'Landmark', an exhibition curated by William Ewing at the Sommerset House in London.
