Moonlighting is part of an ongoing personal project by photographer Paul Thompson. The images are all coastal based locations and are shot in the middle of the night, during a full moon period. They explore space that is familiar and often heavily populated during daylight, yet abandoned, unexplored and unobserved as night falls. All the images are shot on 5x4 film and exposures are often around 3 hours per image.
