A research into 'passing' of time in photography and cinema by making long exposures of my favourite movies. By using the camera as photographic paper and my screen as an enlarger, I was able to render these movies into photographs; singular images making an impression of my personal experience of the movie, but also of the filmic ‘passing’ of time before the camera. Here, the durative and the punctual together create a new image, where there’s stillness in the moving image, and movement in the still image.
